Three Trail races in the spectacular Texas Hill Country west of Austin. A series of summer TRAIL races. A 60km & 30km during the night to avoid the worst part of the summer heat, and a 10km at sunrise. All events start on Saturday. The 10km in the morning, the 60km/30km later that same day. All evens will be chip timed. Awards to the top 5 males & females. Also the top 3 male & female masters. Buckles will be given to those who complete all three 60km runs.
We had so many names last year, we confused ourselves, so we whittled the names down to the bare minimum... Falls, Lake, Shoe. Dark Side Series is gone. Capt Karls remains as the name of the series. Because Labor Day occurs on the final race date, we had to switch the sequence of race locations such that the Shoe is now last in the series. The same great setup as in the past, with camping suggested at each event. The running party starts at sunrise on Saturday for the 10km, then settles into a lazy day at the park for half a day til the 60km/30km start at 7:00 PM. Then continues all night til the last runner comes in, or the final cutoff at 7:00 AM.

2010 will be our 5th year and we expect it to be even bigger and better. We have moved the race dates so that there are three weeks between each one. The Falls on 24 July, the Lake on 14 Aug, and the Shoe on 4 September (Labor Day weekend)
