Description
Hillie Billie Summary:
-70 miles
-18 legs
-BE-YOOT-A-FULL Texas Hill Country
-4-6 runners per team
-Race date: Saturday, October 2010 (most likely 10/16 or 10/23)

Weaving its way through the hilliest and greenest part of Texas is The Hillie Billie course. It is as visually appealing to the runner as the Texas Independence Relay course is historical, and it is a refreshing change from dry flat city running!. From the sweeping views at the start atop the dam at Canyon Lake, over the hills, and along the river, to the finish at Guadalupe River State Park, The Hillie Billie is 70 miles of pure relay runnin’ bliss!

The race consists of 18 legs that average 3.9 miles each (ranging from 2 to 6.84mi… most are 3.5 to 4.5mi). Shorter may mean hillier . . . After finishing leg 18 in Guadalupe River State Park (the finish of the competitive race), you’ll celebrate a half mile jaunt with your team alongside a picturesque section of the Guadalupe River.
