Description
The Miwok 100K is very hilly (approximately 10,000 feet of cumulative elevation gain) with spectacular views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge, Mt. Tamalpais and the Point Reyes National Seashore. The course is a modified out-and-back, consisting of mostly fire roads and single-track trails with approximately five miles on roads. The race is extremely competitive at the front, a rewarding challenge for the mid-pack and a glorious long day in the forests and fields for those not in a hurry.
There is a fantastic post-race barbecue, great tech-fabric race shirt and goodie bag with useful, ultra-specific items from our outstanding sponsors.
Miwok is a lot of fun to run, and volunteering at the race can also be a blast. You meet great people, help your colleagues, and get food and some great swag, too. It’s also a great way to learn about ultrarunning and improve your own performance by observing a lot of runners’ pacing and aid station strategies
